Shaishunaga - the dynasty that ruled in the ancient Indian kingdom of Magadha in 413 - 345 BC. e.
History
The dynasty came to power in 413 BC. e. when Minister Shaishunaga overthrew Nagadasaku , the previous king of Magadha , and seized the throne [1] .
The next ruler of the dynasty, Kalashoku , was killed by Minister Mahapadma Nanda . After that, he hid for some time as the sons of Kalashoka, but soon got rid of them.
In 345 BC e. Mahapadma Nanda ascended the throne of Magadhi and founded the new Nanda dynasty [1] .
