[3] In an interview, he said he hoped to release an album by Easter 2014. [4] In a Facebook post dated December 20, 2013, he also indicated that he was working with producer Jay Ruston and that the album would be released through Sumerian Records . [five]

In a September 2015 interview with Altpress, he announced that he was in the midst of recording an album and that he would be in the style of country and blues music, as this music accompanied him when he grew up in a village in England. He indicated that he worked with songwriters Hillary Lindsey and John Paul White and that Jim Kaufman was the producer. [6] Danny also plans to release clips and hopes that the release of the album will be successful, but does not plan a tour as such. In early December, he announced that the album would be released in 2016. His lyrics will describe the musician's former relationship with alcohol, drugs, rehabilitation, and other "internal demons." [7] He said that he wrote the album in a week and recorded it live in Kaufman’s drawing room and that he financed the project, controlling every aspect of the creation, including his own design and the clips written and directed by him.

Officially, the recording of the album was completed at the end of February 2016. [7] [8] A little later that month, he published the album title, The Prozac Sessions , its cover, and stated that he had traveled to Nashville to find a label to take on the release of the album. [9] [10] Danny posted four cover options and announced that each album will have its own bonus track. [10] On his site, he uploaded teasers of each album song with one play, and on social networks he mentioned the upcoming live solo performances. [11] [12] The first album single "I Got Bones" was released in early April as a music video. After that, pre-ordering the album on the site along with merchandise goods became available, although the release date was still not known. In early May, the second single "Out Without You" was released by video.

On September 26, Worsnop announced on his Instagram that the upcoming album was renamed The Long Road Home instead of The Prozac Sessions due to legal reasons. He also said that he had found a label for the release of the album and he became Earache Records , specializing in metal music. On November 1, a new single "Mexico" was released through the label along with a clip and pre-order of the album was opened on popular digital platforms iTunes and Google Play . The album was released on February 17, 2017, preceding its release with the single / video "Don't Overdrink It". At the end of March, the clip "High" was also released.

Personal life

During his first stay at Asking Alexandria , Danny was known for his destructive "rock and roll" lifestyle. Already from the group’s debut album, he became addicted to many drugs and slept with countless women, repeating that this was part of his rock and roll lifestyle. After appearing drunk on stage in 2011, the group decided to send him for rehabilitation. Although it became known later that he had ended this lifestyle by the end of 2011, he later stated that he was addicted to cocaine and drank a lot in the winter of 2013, and also once again went through several weeks of rehabilitation.
