Content
Story
In the tiny Serbian town of Guca , a brass band festival is held annually. Two warring collectives are preparing for an uncompromising struggle. The stepson of the leader of the gypsy orchestra and the daughter of the leader of the Serbian collective fall in love. The girl’s father is categorically against, but jokingly promises to change his prejudice if Romeo wins the contest. The film is full of allusions to the struggle of the warring clans of Montecca and Capulet , the love of Adam and Eve , Orpheus and Eurydice , even the theme of Mozart's poisoning is present. The entire film is permeated with the music of Balkan brass bands.

Interesting Facts
- Actor Marko Markovich, who played the role of Romeo, is the son of the virtuoso trumpeter Boban Markovich , whose name and orchestra is repeatedly mentioned in the film. Marco is also a trumpeter and composer, performs as part of his father’s orchestra [2] .
