Klüver -Bucy syndrome ( Klüver — Bucy syndrome ) - a syndrome characterized by weakening of emotional reactions , hypersexuality , an obsessive desire to touch any object or place it in your mouth ( hypooralism ), a violation of eating habits, gluttony and impaired ability to recognize surrounding objects ( visual agnosia ).
The disease occurs with bilateral damage to the medial structures of the temporal lobes of the brain (especially the amygdala ), for example, with herpetic encephalitis or degenerative diseases of the brain .
