History
The cemetery was founded by the Department of military burials of K. and K. of the military commander's office in Krakow in 1915. The cemetery occupied a small area in the Jewish cemetery and on its territory there were 6 individual graves in which 6 Austrian and 1 Russian soldiers of the Jewish faith were buried.
During World War II, a Jewish cemetery was destroyed by the Nazis. Most of the Jewish tombstones during the occupation were used to decorate the pavements and strengthen the Struzhovyanka brook. After the war, the remaining tombstones were returned to the Jewish cemetery and stored in the lower part of the Jewish necropolis. To date, two Russian and Austrian tombstones have been preserved, which are located near the town. From the Jewish cemetery, there are only a few tombstones, located on the western slope of the hill Gura-Tsmentarna behind the stream Struzhovyanka, through which a small bridge is thrown from the Struzhuvskaya street.
On April 16, 1994, the necropolis was entered in the register of cultural monuments of the Małopolska Voivodeship.
