Biography

Member of the Second World War. In 1942 he was appointed head and artist of the club of the Office of Military Development. Subsequently, due to illness, he was discharged. 1945 awarded the medal "For Victory over Germany."

In 1944, he was a student at the Kuibyshev Aviation Institute, but the desire to become an architect did not leave him - in the same year he successfully passed entrance exams at the Moscow Architectural Institute. However, in the capital there was no place to live, which did not allow to start training. Then Khavkin arrived in Dnepropetrovsk and entered the second year of the Civil Engineering Institute.

1948, having graduated from the institute, he began working in Dnepropetrovsk at Oblproekt (now Dneprograzhdanproekt), where he went from an ordinary architect to the head of the department. He headed large teams of authors as the main architect of the project.

He was a great comedian [1] .
