Varanus boehmei (lat.) - a species of lizard from the family of monitor lizards . Endemic island of Waigeo , Indonesia . The specific name is given in honor of the German zoologist Wolfgang Böhme [1] . He spends most of his life on trees, using a tenacious tail for climbing. Body length is up to 1 meter [2] .
