Skolchanka Nature Reserve ( Polish: Rezerwat przyrody Skołczanka ) is a nature reserve in the former village of Tyniec in the southwestern part of Krakow , Lesser Poland Voivodeship , Poland . The reserve occupies the northern part of the forest of the Belyansko-Tynetsk landscape park .

Content
History
The reserve was created in 1957 [1] by the decision of the Polish Ministry of Forestry and the woodworking industry to preserve forest and steppe vegetation, as well as protect the fauna that lives in the reserve. The reserve area is 36.77 ha. Pine , fir and beech grow in the forest part of the reserve. The reserve protects about 500 species of butterflies and other insects.
Tourism
A hiking trail runs through the reserve, starting near the Benedictine Abbey .
