Geographical position
Located on the right (southern) bank of the Ustye River, about 2 km southwest of the village of Okunevskoye ; 30 km (37 km by road) southwest of the district center of Cargapolle; 80 km (125 km by road) northwest of the city of Kurgan .

History
The village was founded between 1710 and 1719.
Before the revolution, the village of Zaozernaya (Gushchina) was part of the Okunevsky volost of the Chelyabinsk district of the Orenburg province .
In late June - early July 1918, the White Guard authority was established. In early August 1919, Soviet power was restored.
