Cofana separata

Cofana separata (lat.) - a species of jumping insects of the genus Cofana from the family of cicadas ( Cicadellidae ). New Britain ( Papua New Guinea ). The length of the males is 9.9 mm, the females are 11.5 mm. Fawn cicadas with dark markings on the body. The forehead and pronotum are dark. They feed on plant juices. The species was first described in 1979 by American entomologist David Young (David Allan Young, 1915-1991) [1] [2] .
