History
The newspaper was founded in 1938 as a joint printing organ of the Central Committee and the Minsk Regional Committee of the Belarusian Young Communist League . The first issue was released on April 10, 1938. The newspaper was called "Stalin's Youth." The founder of the newspaper since 1956 was the Central Committee of the Komsomol of Belarus.
During the Great Patriotic War, the newspaper came out on one of the fronts of the Red Army in the form of A4 leaflets . The first full-fledged post-war issue of the newspaper “Stalin Youth” was published on July 6, 1945. In June 1956, the newspaper "Stalin's Youth" was renamed the newspaper "Banner of Youth". In the 1980s, one of the country's most popular newspapers.
Rewards
For his services in educating young people on December 19, 1984, the youth newspaper Znamya Yunost was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor .
In 2006 and 2008 - Winner of the Golden Litera National Print Media Competition in the nomination “The Best Youth Newspaper of the Country”.
In 2010, she won the Golden Literature National Print Media Competition in the nomination “The Best Creative Project of the Year of the Republican Print Media, News Agencies” with the “Meet Venezuela” project.
In 2013, she was a laureate of the Golden Literature National Print Media Competition in the nomination “The Best Materials on Social Subjects”.
