Geography
The village is located 6 km from the administrative center of the commune of the city of Gorlice and 97 km from the voivodeship center of Krakow .
History
The first information about the village dates back to 1319, when it became the property of the Benedictine monastery in Tynts . After the property of the monastery was nationalized by the Austrian authorities, the village became the property of the gentry family of Velepolsky from Kobylanka and after some time - the family of Skshinsky. In 1839, Tadeusz Skshinsky built a neo-Gothic manor in the village according to the design of the architect Francyszki Lanzi. In this manor, Tadeusz Skshinsky founded a small elementary school for the children of the impoverished gentry. The Polish writer Wincent Paul taught for some time at this school. Over time, this manor acquired the features of the castle.
In 1816 a stone church was built in the village.
In 1975-1998, the village was part of the Novosonchenskoye voivodship.
