Amantau ( Kaz. Amantau ) is a former village in the Nurinsky district of the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan . The village was the administrative center and the only settlement of the Amantau rural district.

On January 16, 2010 the village of Amantau was abolished and included in the village of Shcherbakovskoye in the Tassuatsky rural district [1] .
Population
In 1999, the population of the village was 587 people (313 men and 274 women) [2] . According to the 2009 census , 27 people lived in the village (18 men and 9 women) [2] .
