Women's Ice Hockey Championship 1998/1999

The Russian Ice Hockey Championship of the 1998/1999 season among women's teams was held from October 31, 1998 to February 20, 1999 . Seven teams participated in the national championship (not counting the women's national team of Kazakhstan , which was out of competition), but the team of SDUSHOR-22 Omsk played only 6 matches, after which it withdrew from the rally.

At the first stage, the teams were divided into two subgroups. In each subgroup, all teams had to play 8 matches with each other on the road (in 4 rounds in twin matches). The final tournament of the championship was held in Yekaterinburg on February 14–20, 1999.

The Viking Moscow team again became the champion of Russia (in the previous season it was called the Air Force CSK), having won all championship matches, the Ekaterinburg Spartak-Mercury HC won silver medals and the Lokomotiv Krasnoyarsk won bronze medals. The best scorer of the championship was Svetlana Trefilova (Viking).
