John James Anderson ( Eng. John James Anderson ; April 18 , 1956 ) is the American actor who is best known for his role as Jeff Colby in the TV series The Dynasty and The Colby Family [1] .

Biography and career
John James was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the family of disc jockey Coat of arms Oscar Anderson; grew up in New Canaan, Conn [2] . He studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York [3] . He became famous thanks to his roles in various soap operas - in 1977 he starred in the role of Tom Bergman in the series " Finding Tomorrow " on the CBS channel [4] . In 1979, James moved to Los Angeles [2] . The real fame came to the actor in 1981, when the television hit " Dynasty " was released on the screens of the United States, and then around the world, where he played the positive character Jeff Colby [3] . In 1985, the actor got the main role in the spin-off called “ The Colby Family ”, which lasted two seasons on air [5] .
After the end of both shows, James appeared in guest roles in a number of television series, starred in independent film projects and played in the theater. He played the role of Rick Decker in the series " How the World Rotates " from 2003 to 2004 [6] . In May 2006, he received the role of Dr. Jeff Martin (the first husband of Erica Kane performed by Susan Lucci) in the ABC series “ All My Children ”. July 15, 2008, the actor returned to the series "How the World Turns" [7] .
Personal life
In 1989, he married the Australian model Denise Coward ( Eng. Denise Coward ), who took third place in the contest "Miss World 1978" [8] and who bore him two children - Laura James ( Eng. Laura James ) and Philip James ( Eng. Philip James ). Laura won the competition for the TV show " Top Model in American " in the 19th season [9] .
