Biography
Born in Vigevano on April 22, 1924 .
Having received a bachelor 's degree in chemical engineering, in 1946 he began working with one of the newspapers - a weekly local chronicle, devoting himself to journalism.
On April 22, 1959, while celebrating his birthday with friends, one of them, maestro Pino Massara, informed him that one music label was looking for a songwriter. Pallavicini wrote a text in a short time, although until that moment he had never written a song.
During his creative life he created about five thousand poetic works. More than a hundred of them are popular in Italy, some, having been translated into English, have become known throughout the world [1] .
Songs [2] to the verses by Vito Pallavicini were performed by Mireille Mathieu , Elvis Presley , Joe Dassin , Toto Cutugno , Adriano Celentano , Gianni Morandi , Al Bano , Patti Pravo , Carmen Villani . Many Italian singers performed these songs repeatedly in San Remo and other music festivals.
Despite the fact that for many years he was called the “King of San Remo ” [3] , he led a non-public life in his native city, where he died on August 16, 2007 [1] [4] .
