Karkalay is the railway station of the Izhevsk branch of the Gorky Railway . It is located in the Uvinsky district of Udmurtia , in the village of Karkalai , according to which it got its name. Opened in 1947 [1] .

Description
Karkalay station is located at 62 km of the Uvinsky direction of the Izhevsk region of the Railways. Currently, there is no track development. It consists of one side platform located along the south side of the railway. A small indoor pavilion for passengers is equipped on the platform.
At the western exit of the platform there is an unregulated railway crossing connecting Stantsionnaya, Yuzhny and Zelenaya streets with the village center and the highway to the district center. Also near the platform are the checkpoint of correctional colony No. 3 and a bus stop.
Suburban Station
Suburban rail transportation from the station is carried out by the Sodruzhestvo passenger company. The station serves local trains following the route Izhevsk - Uva and vice versa. The usual speed is 1 pair of trains per day. In summer, on Sunday, as a rule, an additional train is assigned.
