Biography
Alexander Kondrashev was born on December 25, 1921 in the village of Andreevskoye (now Podolsky district of the Moscow region ). After graduating from the seven classes of the school and the school of factory factory apprenticeship, he worked as a turner at a factory in Podolsk , while he studied at the Podolsk flying club. In 1941, Kondrashev was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . In 1942, he graduated from the Kachin Military Aviation School of Pilots . Since October of that year - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. He took part in the battles on the North-West , Bryansk , 1st and 2nd Baltic, 3rd and 1st Belorussian fronts [1] .
By March 1944, Captain Alexander Kondrashev was deputy squadron commander of the 66th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment of the 4th Guards Fighter Air Division of the 1st Guards Fighter Aviation Corps of the 3rd Air Army of the 1st Baltic Front. By that time, he had made about 100 sorties, took part in 35 air battles, shooting down 15 enemy planes (according to the award sheet) [1] , but according to the research of M. Yu. Bykov, by that time there were 11 personal accounts on his combat account and 2 group wins.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of July 1, 1944 for captain Alexander Kondrashev, who was awarded the Order of Lenin and the Golden Medal, was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for “exemplary execution of combat missions of command on the front of the battle against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown” of the guard. Star ” under number 3923 [1] .
In total, during the war Kondrashev participated in 70 air battles, shooting down 15 enemy aircraft in person and 2 more as part of the group [2] . After the war, he continued to serve in the Soviet Army. In 1945, he graduated from the Higher Officer Flight Tactical Courses. In 1960, with the rank of Colonel, Kondrashev was sacked. He returned to Podolsk , worked as an apprentice at a local chemical and metallurgical plant. He died on December 20, 1982, was buried in the Podolsk cemetery "Krasnaya Gorka" [1] .
He was also awarded three orders of the Red Banner , the Order of Alexander Nevsky , two orders of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree, two orders of the Red Star , a number of medals [1] .
