Bilyar district ( Tat. Bilәr districts ) is an administrative-territorial unit within the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic that existed in 1930-1963. The administrative center is the village of Bilyarsk . The population of the district in 1959 was 28,440 people. [one]

Bilyar district was formed on August 10, 1930 in part of the territory of the former Spassky and Chistopol cantons .
According to data from 1945, the district had an area of 1.1 thousand km² and was divided into 30 village councils: Abalduyevsky, Aleksandrovsky, Arbuzovo-Baransky, Berezovsky, Bilyarsky, Bolshe-Polyansky, Bolshe-Tigansky, Verkhne-Kondratinsky, Verkhne-Tatararsko-Maynsky, Gorsky, Emelkinsky, Yeryklinsky, Krasno-Baransky, Kulbaevo-Marasinsky, Lyagushkinsky, Marasinsky, Nizhne-Kondratinsky, Nizhne-Tatar-Maynsky, Novo-Tatar-Adamsky, Oshnyakovsky, Podlesno-Shentalinsky, Russian-Maynsky, Mosnovsky, Sosnov Staro-Tatar-Adam, Takhtalinsky, Tigan-Bulak sky, Cherebatyrevsky, Chuvash-Maynsky, Shaminsky [2] .
From May 8, 1952 to April 30, 1953 Bilyar district was part of the Chistopol region .
On January 4, 1963, in the framework of the reform on the enlargement of districts, the Bilyar district was abolished, and its territory was transferred to the enlarged Oktyabrsky and Chistopol districts [3] .
Currently, the main part of the territory of the former Bilyarsky district is located in the Alekseevsky district , the rest is in the Nurlat and Aksubaev regions, and a very small part is in the Chistopol district.
