Player Career

He played the position of attacking defender and light forward . He studied at the University of Auburn , in 1994 he was selected for the NBA Draft under the 23rd number by the Phoenix Suns team. Later he played for the teams “ Cleveland Cavaliers ”, “ Memphis Grizzlies ”, “ Portland Trail Blazers ”, “ Atlanta Hawks ”, “ Miami Heat ” and “ Denver Nuggets ”. In total, the NBA spent 11 seasons. He joined the 2nd national team of NBA newcomers ( 1995 ). A total of 733 games played in the NBA in a career, in which he scored 8192 points (an average of 11.2 per game), made 2402 rebounds , 1234 assists , 579 interceptions and 230 blotshots .

In 1991, Persona became the winner of the U-19 World Under-19 Basketball Championship in Edmonton as part of the US team . In 1993, he became the winner of the World Basketball Championship among youth teams in Valladolid as part of the US team.
