Geography

It was located on the left bank of the river Salt, a tributary of the Phaetonka river, at the foot of the Amitinsky ridge. The nearest settlements: in the south-west - the village of Galashki , in the north-east - the village of Arshty , in the southeast - the village of Dattykh .

History

As of December 1926, Akati was part of the Galashki district [1] of the Ingush Autonomous Region. The Ingush lived in the village (according to the 1926 census ) [2] .

The village was abandoned by residents in the 90s of the XX century. In connection with the massive electricity and gasification of Ingushetia, the residents of Akata were relocated to the more comfortable villages of Alkhasty and Arshty

The population of the village as of 1988 was about 20 people. [3]
