Azarovsky is a village in the Zheleznogorsk district of the Kursk region of Russia . It is part of the Volkovsky Village Council .

Content
Geography
Located 17 km north-east of Zheleznogorsk . From the north, the Kurbakinskaya railway station and the Magnitny settlement adjoin the Azarovsky. Height above sea level - 266 m [3] .
Etymology
Got a name from the name of the first inhabitants - the Azarovs, who moved here from the neighboring village of Ploskoe (now in the Dmitrovsky district of the Oryol region ).
History
In 1926, there were 10 yards in Azarovsky, 54 people lived (20 men, 34 women). At that time, the village was part of the Volkovsky village council of the Volkovsky volost of the Dmitrov district of the Oryol province [4] . In 1928 it became part of the Mikhailovsky (now Zheleznogorsk ) district. In 1937, there were 13 yards in Azarovsky [5] . During the Great Patriotic War, from October 1941 to February 1943, he was in the zone of German occupation. Until 1973, he was a member of the Gremyachensky village council [6] , then transferred to the Volkovsky village council .

Transport
A142 Trosna - Kalinovka highway passes by the village. Also in the immediate vicinity of Azarovsky is the Kurbakinskaya railway station on the Orel - Arbuzovo line .
