Biography

Born in 1955 in Finland.

In 2005, she received a Ph.D. degree in Russian literature and the Russian language at the Abo Academy , defending a thesis on the work by A. S. Pushkin “The Tale of Tsar Saltan” [1] .

He is currently a professor at Stockholm University . Translates from Finnish and Swedish into Russian and from Russian into Swedish ( Sophie Oksanen , Andrey Gelasimov , Nina Sadur , etc.)

In 2016, she was awarded the highest award of Finland for artists - the medal " Pro Finlandia " [2] .

Family

  • Her husband is Ulf Stark (July 12, 1944 - June 13, 2017), a Swedish children's writer [3] .
