Koziansky castle ( Belor. Kazyanskі castle ) existed in the XVI century. north of the village of Koziany, Vitebsk region (present-day Shumilinsky district , Vitebsk region , Belarus ). Built in 1563 during the Livonian War of 1558-1583. by order of the Russian Tsar Ivan the Terrible as a border fortress. Destroyed in 1579 by the troops of the Commonwealth.

Description
The layout and size of the castle were determined by the cape of the Obol River. A wooden structure, triangular in plan (50 mx 120 mx 110 m), with three towers, which inside were divided into three battle tiers, covered with a gable roof. The tower, which was located in the isthmus of the bend of the river, had an arched passage, the rest stood on semicircular foundations cut through by round loopholes in the upper part. The central part of the inner space of the castle was occupied by residential buildings.
