The 9th European Youth Athletics Championships were held from July 11 to July 14, 2013 at the Ratina Stadium in Tampere ( Finland ). According to the rules, athletes born in 1991-1993 could take part in the competition.

a In March 2014, the International Association of Athletics Federations announced sanctions against a walker from Russia Pyotr Bogatyrev in connection with abnormal hematological profiles of a biological passport. The athlete was disqualified for 2 years starting from October 16, 2013, all his results after July 12, 2011 were canceled, including the βgoldβ of the European Youth Championship 2013 in 20 km walking with a result of 1: 21.31 [2] .
On March 22, 2019, the All-Russian Athletics Federation announced a 3-year disqualification of the Russian walker Alexander Ivanov . The decision was made on the basis of deviations in the athleteβs biological passport , which indicated the use of doping. All Ivanovβs results from July 9, 2012 to August 17, 2014 were canceled, including second place in the European Youth Championship - 2013 in 20 km walking with a result of 1: 21.34 [3] .

b On March 29, 2017, the IAAF announced a four-year disqualification of a Turkish runner, Gamza Bulut, based on her biological passport . The results of the athlete from July 20, 2011 were canceled, including first place in the 2013 European Youth Championships in the 5000 meter race with a result of 15.45.03 [4] .
Since August 4, 2017, the Sports Arbitration Court has decided to disqualify for 4 years the Russian athlete Svetlana Vasilyeva , who performs race walking. Based on the biological passport indicators, it was concluded that the athlete used doping. All of her results from October 18, 2011 to July 14, 2013 were canceled, including a gold medal at the 2013 European Youth Championships in walking 20 km with a result of 1: 30.07 [5] .
