Content
History
On January 12, 1952, the first test broadcast was conducted, the broadcast, which lasted 32 minutes, consisted of a clock with a moving second hand and a grid. The first test broadcast was held on January 12, 1954, regular test broadcasting began on April 13, 1958, regular - on August 20, 1960. It is the oldest and largest television channel in Norway. In the first quarter of 2012, the channel had a market share of 35.4% (versus 17.5% for TV2, 7.3% for TVNorges and 4.2% for TV3) [1] .
Since February 7, 2010, an HD version of the channel has been broadcasting: it debuted from the show of the 44th Super Bowl .
Programs
The channel also shows television programs from other Scandinavian countries (for example, as part of the Nordvision cooperation) and other European countries (for example, as part of the European Broadcasting Union ). The main informational program is the Dagsrevyen program (from Nor. - “Daily review”). In addition to producing and showing television programs in Norwegian (75% on Bokmål and 25% on Nynorsk ), the channel often shows English programs from the USA, Great Britain and Australia. Voice-over is done only for children's programs, for the rest subtitles are made in Norwegian, this is due to the high level of knowledge of English in Norway.
