Hail to the king

Hail to the King (“Long Live the King”) is the sixth studio album of American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold , which was released on August 27, 2013 via Warner Bros. Records. Records . The producer of the album is Mike Elizondo. The only album with drummer Erin Elahai , who joined the band in 2011 as a tour drummer, became an official member in 2013 and left the band in 2015.

Hail To The King received the status of gold, having sold over 500'000 copies and became the second album in the group’s work, debuting in the first place on Billboard. [12]

Content

Background

On November 15, 2012, the band’s vocalist M. Shadous stated that the band had been working on a new album since recording the single “Carry On” in August 2012 [13] . In December, the group announced that it plans to start recording in January 2013 and release an album this year [14] .

The group posted four teasers on YouTube containing fragments of studio work and new songs. On June 26, the title, cover, and release date of the album [15] [16] [17] were officially published. The single with the title track "Hail to the King" was scheduled for release on July 15, 2013 [18] . In an interview with Kerrang! "M. Shadous opened the names of four songs of the new album:" Shepherd of Fire "," Requiem "," Planets "and" Acid Rain ".

On August 20 (a week before the official release), the album hit the Internet.
