Nima Arkani-Hamed (born April 5, 1972 , Houston , Texas ) is a Canadian and American theoretical physicist , a specialist in the fields of particle physics , string theory , and cosmology . Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, member of the NAS of the USA (2017).

Biography
In 1993 he graduated from the University of Toronto . In 1997 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy on the topic " Supersymmetry and Hierarchy " at the University of California at Berkeley . After that, he transferred to post-doctoral studies at the SLAC laboratory at Stanford University [1] . In 1999-2001 worked at the Department of Physics at the University of California, Berkeley . In 2002-2007, he worked at Harvard University , becoming a full professor there at the age of 30 [2] . Since 2008, professor at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton (New Jersey, USA) [3] . Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2009).
