History
The Tomsk district post office appeared in 1782, at that time - a division of the Tobolsk provincial post office . In 1799, the office took its own building under the Yurt Mountain .
In connection with the formation of the Tomsk province (1804), the office was transformed into the Tomsk provincial one, including Biysk, Kainsk, Kuznetsk, and Narym county postal expeditions. From 1810 it was located on the Yurt Mountain. In 1830 she became a member of the newly created 11th (Tobolsk) postal district. Monitoring the work of the office was carried out by M. M. Gedenstrom .
In 1859 Tomsk became the center of the Siberian postal district.
In connection with the organization of the telegraph message, a telegraph district was created in Tomsk, the first telegram was delivered to Tomsk in October 1863.
In 1885, the postal and telegraph forms of communication were merged, Tomsk Okrug was formed, which included Tomsk and Yenisei provinces and Semipalatinsk region.
From August 24, 1870, Tomsk Post Office began to subscribe to newspaper and magazine products.
In 1899-1901, a new two-story brick building on Pochtamtskaya Street (now Lenin Avenue ) was built for the Tomsk post and telegraph by the project of a civil engineer Novikov, under the supervision of architect F. F. Guta , and V. V. Khabarov participated in the works [1] .

December 17, 1993 OJSC Tomsktelecom was established.
In 2003, the Tomsk Post became part of the State Unitary Enterprise " Russian Post ".
