Geography

Bunyovo is the most western village of the Arefinsky rural settlement, lying on the border with the Ogarkovsky rural settlement .

In the west of the Arefinsky settlement, which is dominated by forests, there is a small agglomeration of 7 villages located near north-west to southeast: Bunyovo, Boltino , Proshino , Oboltino , Bolshoye and Malaya Chernyaevo , with the center in Vasilkovo village.

Once cultivated lands around these villages form a field of about 7 km and a width of up to 4 km that is surrounded by forests. This area is located on the northeast slope of the watershed divide. Here are the sources of numerous streams forming below the river Mormu and Talitsu tributaries of the Ukhra River. To the south and west of this region, on another slope of a hill, streams originate, flowing into the Rybinsk reservoir in the territory of the Ogarkovskoye rural settlement. Bunyovo stands on the left bank at the source of the Zolotuha River, the left tributary of the Morma.

At a distance of 1 km east of Bunyovo, there is a road connecting Vasilkovo with villages in the Morma and Zolotukha basin. In the northern direction, this road after 3 km goes to the village of Nikolo-Trail , the former center of the rural parish.

In the southern direction at a distance of about 1 km is the village Boltino [3] . The forest road from Bunyovo in a westerly direction, after 3 km, leads to the Kraskovo Tract , located in the Ogarkovsky settlement, a small field surrounded by forests, here the highest point of the watershed is 168.4 m [4] .

The village of Bunev is marked on the 1792 plan of the General Survey of Rybinsk district.
