In the Major League Baseball (Major League Baseball), the 30-30 club includes players who have made 30 home runs and stole 30 bases in one season [1] [2] . The first baseball player to achieve such indicators was Ken Williams in 1922 [3] [4] . For 34 years he was the only representative of this club until Willie Mays joined him, exceeding 30-30 in 1956 and 1957 [4] [5] . Bobby Bonds became the fourth member of the club and the first player to achieve this achievement five times [5] [6] . It was only possible to repeat his record in 1997, when his son, Barry Bonds , for the fifth time showed 30-30 statistics for the season [4] [6] . The last players to enter the 30-30 club were Ryan Bron and Mike Trout in the 2012 season .
Only 40 Major League Baseball players entered the club 30-30 and only 13 of them did it several times. Of these 38 baseball players, 26 were right-handed batsmen, 8 left-handed, and 4 hit by both their left and right hands, that is, they could stand on either side of the house. Ten of the players played their entire career in only one club. The Cincinnati Reds , Colorado Rockies , and New York Mets are the only teams to have three different baseball players over 30-30. Five players: Hank Aaron , Barry Bonds, Willie Mays , Alex Rodriguez and Sammy Sosa are also members of the 500 home run club [7] , while Aaron and Mays are also members of the 3000 hit club [8] . Dale Murphy , Jose Canseco , Barry Bonds, Larry Walker , Jimmy Rollins and Bron also became the most valuable players in the same season in which they made 30 home runs and stole 30 bases, and Bonds received this honor twice (in 1990 and 1992 ) [9] . Mace and Rollins, during their years of entry into the club 30-30, also showed results worthy of inclusion in the club 20-20-20 [10] [11] [12] . Most of the players were able to show the result of 30-30 in 1987, 1996, 1997 and 2011 - four each [4] .
Since few players have such a combination as a good hit and the ability to steal bases [5] , therefore, Baseball Digest magazine calls the club 30-30 “the most famous feat that can be achieved by players with strength and speed” [2] . After their careers, three members of the club were included in the Baseball Hall of Fame - Mays, Aaron and Barry Larkin .
