Bovecia

Bovecia , also known as Grecìa Calabra (Calabrian Greece ), is one of the two remaining Greek-speaking ( Grico ) regions of Southern Italy [1] [2] . Another Greek-speaking region is Salentian Greece . Bovecia is located in the extreme south of Calabria, near Reggio Calabria , and consists of nine villages. Its population is much smaller than Salentine Greece [3] .

Bovecia is the Greek-speaking region of Reggio Calabria.

Villages in Calabrian Greece: Bova and Bova Marina (3870 inhabitants), Palizzi and Palizzi Marina, Kondofuri , Gallicianò and Amendolea, Roccaforte del Greco , Rogudi and Roghudi Nuovo
