His father was the consul of 139, Guy Brutti Present , and his mother, Laberius, Gostilius Crispin.
Military service began around 136 by the tribune of the III Gallic Legion , stationed in the province of Syria. He began his state career as a investor (the year of execution of investor powers is unknown). In addition, he was a member of several priestly colleges. In 139, the Present received a patrician title from Emperor Antoninus Pius . In 153, he became consul along with Avl Yuniy Rufin . From 166 to 167, Presen ruled the province of Africa as proconsul . In 178, Commodus, the son and heir of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, married his daughter Bruttius. Then he took part in the campaign of the emperor against the Quads , Sarmatians and Markoman . In 180, the Present became a consul for the second time along with Sextus Quintil Condian . His further fate is unknown.
