Initial biography
Fedor Zakharovich Borisov was born on March 12, 1901 in the village of Novo-Tishevoe [1] .
Military Service
Civil War
In May 1920, he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army and sent to the Red Army and the 3rd Reserve Regiment. In October, he was sent to study at the 6th Infantry Command Courses in Petrograd . In March 1921, he took part in the suppression of the Kronstadt uprising .
Interwar Time
From September 1922, after graduating from the 6th infantry command courses, Borisov served in the 10th Infantry Division ( Leningrad Military District ) as a division commander, platoon and company of the 28th Infantry Regiment, as well as assistant chief of the mobilization unit of the division headquarters.
In 1925 he graduated from the Leningrad secondary courses of the middle command, and in June 1931 he was sent to courses of mobilization workers at the 9th headquarters of the Red Army headquarters , after which he continued to serve in the 10th rifle division, where he served as assistant chief of the mobilization unit and assistant chief of the 1st part of the division headquarters, battalion commander of the 28th infantry regiment, commander of the 30th infantry regiment
In November 1937 he was sent to study at the Higher Shooting and Tactical Courses " Shot ", which he completed in September 1938 . In February 1939, he was appointed commander of the 35th Infantry Division , which was included in the Far Eastern Front in July 1940 .
Great Patriotic War
Since the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the division under the command of Borisov performed the task of covering the state border in Primorye . Soon Borisov had an internship on the Voronezh front for a month and a half.
In November 1942, he was appointed Deputy Commander of the 35th Army (Far Eastern Front), and in June 1943, Commander of the 39th and then 87th Rifle Corps of the Far Eastern Front.
In August 1945, due to the lack of combat experience, Borisov was appointed deputy commander of the 87th rifle corps. During the Soviet-Japanese war, Borisov showed himself to be a courageous and determined commander during the battles in Manchuria and during the landing of the Soviet landing force on South Sakhalin .
Post War Career
With the end of the war, Borisov was sent to study at the Higher Military Academy named after KE Voroshilov , after which in April 1947 he was appointed commander of the 7th Guards Rifle Division , soon transformed into a brigade, in May 1948 - to the post deputy commander of the 27th Rifle Corps , and in September 1953 - to the post of head of the Chernivtsi Infantry School .
Major-General Fyodor Zakharovich Borisov retired in December 1957 . He died on May 4, 1988 in Chernivtsi .
