Biography

In 1930, Warriors became part of Avraamov’s group “Multisound” in the process of working on the first drawn sound tracks.
In 1931 he left the group and began his own research in the field of the so-called paper sound based on the synthesis of sound tracks by adding sound wave profiles cut out of paper using the Nivoton tool , followed by frame-by-frame photographing of sound track fragments on a cartoon machine.
Since 1931, Voinov has been a member of the IVOS group (Ivanov, Warriors, Sazonov), which created a number of animated films with synthetic soundtracks: “Barynya” (1931), “Prelude to Rachmaninov in C Sharp Minor” (1932), and “Dance of the Crow” (1933), “Colored Fields and Security Lines” (1934), “Thief” (1934). Probably the last cartoon with a painted soundtrack that Voinov worked on was "Baby Elephant" (1936, directed by A. Kuznetsov and A. Shchekalina). "Baby Elephant" was created at the Mosfilm factory and was completed in January 1936. Upon delivery, the studio management decided to re-play the film and he came out with a phonogram recorded in the traditional way. After that, Warriors no longer returned to technical experiments with drawn soundtracks. In his official biography, the experimental work of the 1930s is practically not mentioned.

At the beginning of 1936, Voinov was dismissed from Mosfilm, his laboratory was closed, after which in the same year he began working as an operator at Soyuzmultfilm , where he worked until the end of his life.

Member of the Great Patriotic War , worked at the Voentechfilm studio.

He participated in the commission on the creation of a multifaceted machine tool at Soyuzmultfilm. The initiator of the use in the animation of distorting plexiglass glasses, shooting graphic samples through the lumen.

He died on August 28, 1958.
