Abu Abdullah Abdurrahman ibn Nasir al-Saadi ( Arabic: عبد الرحمن بن ناصر السعدي ; September 8, 1889 , Unise - January 24, 1957 , Unaiza ) - Islamic theologian and interpreter of the Koran from Saudi Arabia. The author of many works on the subject of Islam, the teacher and mentor of Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen .

Origin
His full name is Abu Abdullah Abdurrahman ibn Nasir ibn Abdullah ibn Nasir ibn Hamd from the Al Saadi family, the Al Saadi family descends from Al Mufid, a large branch of the Al Hammad clan from the Banu al-Anbar of the Banu Amr tribe, which is part of a large tribal tribe Union Banu Tamim .
Abdurrahman’s mother, Ibn Nasir, Fatima bint Abdullah ibn Abdurrahman Ibn Usman, is the granddaughter of Abdurrahman Ibn Usman, nicknamed “Usaymin”, the founder of the Al Usaymin clan.
Biography
Abdurrahman al-Saadi was born on the 12th of the month of Muharram according to the Muslim calendar (approximately September 8, 1889) in the city of Unaiza ( Saudi Arabia ) [1] . His father died when he was only 4 years old, and his mother died when he was 7 years old. One of his father’s wives took him into his care, and when he grew up, his older brother, Hamd ibn Nasir al-Saadi, took up his upbringing.
He received his primary education from Suleiman ibn Damig and by the age of 12 he had completely learned the Quran. Then he became interested in such Islamic disciplines as fiqh , tafsir , grammar of the Arabic language and the like, and achieved success in this field. A significant influence on him is exerted by the works of Ibn Taymiyyah and his student Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyah .
In 1941 (1360), he was offered to take the post of cadius Unaiza, however, he refuses this post.
At the end of his life, Abdurrahman al-Saadi falls ill with atherosclerosis and begins to suffer from high blood pressure. Lebanese doctors prescribe him rest and advise him to reduce the burden on his health, but he continues to engage in teaching and soon the disease worsens again. On Wednesday night, the 22nd of the month of Jumad al-Ahir of the 1376 Hijra, the state of Abdurrahman ibn Nasir worsens and he loses consciousness. The Riyadh doctors called by his relatives were unable to provide medical assistance on time due to bad weather and the inability to land at Unaiza Airport. The sheikh died the next day ( January 24, 1957 ) before dawn. The funeral prayer over him was performed the same day after the prayer of zuhr . Namaz was led by one of his close disciples, Abdul-Aziz ibn Muhammad ibn Suleiman al-Bassam.
Abdurrahman al-Saadi is buried in the Al-Shahavaniyah cemetery ( Arabic: الشهوانية ) north of the city of Unaiza .
