Biography
Tamlin Naomi Tomita was born on January 27, 1966 in Okinawa ( Japan ) in the family of Shiro and Asako Tomita. Tamlin 1/4 Filipina from her mother. Tomita's father was an eminent Japanese-American American interned in Manzanar during World War II, and later becoming a Los Angeles police officer. Having served as a sergeant, he helped form the first Asian grouping in this department. He died of cancer in 1990 .
Tamlin graduated from Granada Hills High School.
Career
Tamlin began her career as a model. In 1984, Tomita won the Queen's title at Nisei Week Pageant, and in 1985 she won the Miss Nikkei International competition.
In 1986, Tamlin made her film debut, playing the role of Kumiko in the film “ Baby-Karate 2 ”. Total Tomita has played in 105 films and television series.
In 2001, Tamlin won the Asian American International Film Festival .
