Khazem Abdel Aziz Al-Bablyawi ( Arabic: حازم عبد العزيز الببلاوي ; born October 17, 1936 ) was an Egyptian statesman and politician, Prime Minister of Egypt from July 9, 2013 to February 24, 2014 .

Content
Biography
In 1957 he graduated from the Law Faculty of Cairo University [3] . He also studied at the universities of Grenoble, Paris and Cambridge [3] .
Career
Since 1965, al-Bablawi taught at the law faculty of the University of Alexandria [3] . Later he also taught at the University of Sorbonne , at the University of California [3] .
Since 1976 he worked in Kuwait:
- Advisor to the Minister of Finance of Kuwait, Director of the Department of Economic Research, Ministry of Finance, 1976-1980
- Director, Department of Economic Management, Industrial Bank of Kuwait, 1980-1983.
In 1983, returning to Egypt, Hazem al-Bablyawi headed the Egyptian Export Development Bank ( Arabic. البنك المصري لتنمية الصادرات ), and later the Egyptian National Export Insurance Company ( Arabic. الشركة المصرية لصمدن .
From 1995 to 2000 - Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) [4] .
Consultant of the Arab Monetary Fund from 2001 to 2011 [5] .
Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance of Egypt in the cabinet of Isam Sharaf in 2011 [6] .
In July 2013, he was appointed Acting Prime Minister of Egypt [7] .
On February 24, 2014, Egyptian Prime Minister Hazem al-Bablawi announced the resignation of the government on state television. Al-Bablawi made his statement following a brief meeting attended by Minister of Defense Field Marshal Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi [8] . Egypt's interim president Adli Mansour , having accepted the resignation of Bablawi [9] , entrusted the formation of a new government to the country, Ibrahim Mahlyab [10] [11] .
