Verkhovyna rural settlement was established on January 1, 2006 in accordance with the Law of the Kirov Region dated December 7, 2004 No. 284-ЗО ^[2] .

Bakin, Victor Semenovich (born November 1, 1957 ) - Russian Soviet and Russian writer, journalist. Member of the Union of Journalists of Russia (1984), member of the Union of Writers of Russia (2003). He lived at the junction of Mosinsky in the Yuryansky district ^[9] .
Vasenin, Nikolai Maksimovich (1919–2014) - Knight of the Legion of Honor (France), member of the French Resistance Movement , was born in the village of Pyshak, Yuryansky district.
Dorofeev, Anatoly Vasilievich ^[10] (03.25.1920-22.02.2000) - Hero of the Russian Federation , was born in the village of Lyzgach, Yuryansky district
