Alexander Pavlovich Zon (1797-1833) - Russian military leader, lieutenant colonel of the Little Russian cuirassier regiment (Prince Albert), a participant in the suppression of the Polish uprising of 1830-1831 .

Biography
Born in 1797 in a family of nobles of the Moscow province [1] . In 1812, he entered the Moscow Hussars Regiment as a junker; then he subsequently served in the Irkutsk Hussar Regiment, in the Novgorod Cuirassier Regiment as a cornet (1813), in the Kavalergard Regiment (1814) and in the Order of the Cuirassier Regiment as lieutenant (1816). Produced in 1819 as staff captains, in 1822 as captains and majors in 1829, Zon was transferred to the Novomirgorod Ulansky Regiment the following year and assigned to the Little Russian Cuirassier Regiment, where he commanded the 1st Division. With this regiment, Zon participated in the Battle of Grokhov (February 25, 1831), in which he was wounded, taken prisoner and was in it until the end of hostilities. For the difference in the named battle, Zon was promoted to lieutenant colonel, with transfer to the Little Russian cuirassier regiment. In 1833, he received leave in Baden to heal from wounds, but died on the way there in Warsaw .
