Early years
The son of the hero of the Napoleonic Wars, Lieutenant General I.F. Emme . He entered the service for 15 years with a page on December 27, 1809.
Military Service
Patriotic War of 1812
In 1812 he was promoted to cornet and assigned to the Sumy hussar regiment . In World War II, Emma was under Count Wittgenstein and participated in hostilities at Chashniki and Smolyan and at the same time was promoted to lieutenant for distinction.
Overseas Campaigns
In 1813, Emma was in the detachment of Major General Dernberg and was at the capture of Luxembourg, in the Dresden battles - when he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the fourth degree, in the battles of Heilsdorf, Kulm , Wachau , in the battle of Leipzig - for which he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir IV degree with a bow - and in the battle of Betelstedt.
In 1814, Emma participated in the battles of Bar-sur-Ob , Labrucel, Trois, Arcy, Fer-Champenoise and the capture of Paris . For the courage and zeal shown in these battles, Emma was promoted to captain and awarded the “Military” Order of Baden III degree and the Prussian “ For Merit ”.

Russian-Persian War of 1826-1828
In the campaign of 1826, Emma was under General Ridiger and was in the battles at the Kyustenji fortress, Vozmudka, Shuml, Esk-Istanbul and - in other matters.
Russo-Turkish War of 1828-1829
In the 1829 campaign, Emme was under General Roth and received the rank of colonel for participating in the battle of Marash.
1830 Polish Uprising
In 1830, Emme was transferred to the Kargopol Dragoon Regiment , and the following year he was appointed its commander. With this regiment, Emma took part in the suppression of the Polish uprising in the same year, and - for the distinction between Borel, Lyulinsky tavern and Budziska, was awarded the Order of St. Anna of the 2nd degree and the highest goodwill.
In 1834, Emma was transferred to the Courland Dragoon Regiment and - at the same time, due to illness he was dismissed for a long vacation, and on January 5, 1837 he retired with the rank of Major General .
