Liu Zhijun ( Chinese trad. 劉志軍 , ex. 刘志军 , pinyin : Liú Zhìjūn ; born January 29, 1953) is a politician in China . Minister of Railways of China and Secretary of the Party Organization of the Ministry of Railway (2003-2011). From August 1973 to 2011, a member of the Chinese Communist Party.

During the tenure of Liu Zhiqing as Minister of Railways, the PRC railway network expanded significantly, and high-speed railways developed particularly rapidly.
In 2012, in connection with the charge of corruption and abuse of power, he was expelled from the Chinese Communist Party and removed from his post as Minister of Railways of China. In 2012, he was convicted, the investigation proved that the amount received by Liu Zhijun illegally payments in the period from 1986 to 2011 reached $ 10 million. In July 2013, he was sentenced by a Chinese court to death with a two-year deferral of execution. On December 14, the highest-level Beijing People's Court commuted the death penalty to life imprisonment, upholding additional sentences
