- Internet Explorer 11 is completely defined as Firefox (the MSIE token is removed from the User Agent ). The browser's User Agent for Windows 8.1 ( X64 ) looks like this: Mozilla / 5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; Trident / 7.0; rv: 11.0) like Gecko [7] .
- Instead, IE12 Microsoft released a new browser - Microsoft Edge , included in Windows 10 . For earlier versions, Windows Edge is not available. IE 11 is available in Windows 10 for compatibility.
