2013 World Championship of Russian Drafts for Men

The 2013 World Championship of Russian Drafts among Men took place on August 4-14, 2013 in St. Petersburg , Russia at the Azimut Hotel St. Petersburg under the auspices of the Section — 64 FMJD . Competitions were held in three formats: classic, quick checkers and blitz. At the same time, the women's world championship was held . In both championships 98 athletes from 35 countries participated.

Content

Rules

Each competition was held according to the Swiss system in 9 rounds according to the system of micro-matches from two parties, with a draw, moves and positions according to the official table of Section 64, mandatory in both parties of the micro-match. The draw of the first round was carried out taking into account the ratings, each subsequent round - with the help of a computer drawing program.

World Champion 2011 Oleg Dashkov (Russia), winners of the 2012 World Cup Sergey Belosheev (Ukraine), Vladimir Skrabov , Dmitry Tsinman (Russia), participants who took 1-6 places in the European Championship 2012, participants who took 1-3 places in the Asian Championship in 2013, three participants from each country at the request of national federations, two participants from St. Petersburg, as the owners of the championship, one participant - the place of sponsors, two participants by decision of Section 64 of the FMJD.

Three participants from each country at the request of national federations, international grandmasters, masters of sports, FMJD masters, national masters of sports, two participants from St. Petersburg as hosts of the championship, one participant - a sponsor place, two participants by decision of Section 64 of the FMJD.

Determination of winners.

Places in competitions are determined by the sum of points. For a victory - 2 points are given, for a draw - 1, for a loss - 0. In case of equality of points, places are determined by the sum of points scored by opponents, excluding the smallest result (truncated Solkoff coefficient), the sum of points scored by all opponents (Buchholz coefficient) , the sum of points scored by opponents, excluding the 2 smallest results, 3 smallest results, etc., a match until the first victory with a shortened time control.

46 athletes from 23 countries participated, including 15 international grandmasters (GMI), 4 international masters (MI) and 3 masters of FMJD (MM), average rating 2250. Time control - 45 minutes plus 15 seconds for each move made .

The world champion was Igor Mikhalchenko (Belarus), the second place was taken by the Russian Oleg Dashkov , and the third place was also taken by the Russian Gavril Kolesov .
