Vasily Petrovich Trushin ( September 19, 1934 - January 16, 2006 ) - Soviet and Russian statesman, colonel general of the internal service , Minister of the Interior of the RSFSR ( 1989 - 1990 ) [1] .

Biography
Born September 19, 1934 in Moscow . He graduated from high school.
Since 1952, he began his studies at the Moscow Mining Institute (today - the Mining Institute of NUST “MISiS” ). He graduated from the institute in 1957 .
Since 1957 - Design Engineer at the Giproshakhtostroymash Institute, then at one of Moscow enterprises.
Since 1959, at the Komsomol work. First he was the second secretary of the Oktyabrsky district committee, then in 1960 he became the first secretary of the Timiryazevsky district committee.
In 1962 he became the second secretary, in 1964 - the first secretary of the Moscow city committee of the Komsomol .
In 1961 he was admitted to the ranks of the CPSU . In 1968 he took the post of first secretary of the Perovsky district committee of the CPSU . In 1974 he became head of the department of party organization work.
In July 1976 - Secretary of the Moscow City Committee of the CPSU .
Since 1979, he began working at the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs . In September 1979, he was appointed head of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Moscow City Executive Committee, became a member of the Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR .
In 1984 he returned to work in the Moscow City Committee of the CPSU, was a secretary. In December of the same year he returned to the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs .
Since December 1984 - First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the USSR. At the same time, he was the head of the headquarters for eliminating the consequences of the Chernobyl accident , and then the earthquake in Armenia .
October 27, 1989 was appointed Minister of the Interior of the RSFSR [2] . On June 15, 1990, after the Russian government resigned from its powers before the new composition of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, Trushin served as minister [3] .
From September 1990 to September 14, 1991 he was Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the USSR [4] . He was also the head of the National Bureau of Interpol in the USSR.
During the speech, the State Emergency Committee (from August 18 to 22, 1991 ) was the deputy chief of the operational headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the state of emergency in the country.
One day (from August 22 to August 23, 1991 ) was the Acting Minister of the Interior of the USSR [5] [6] .
From August to September 1991 he was the head of the Public Security Service of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs .
In 1991, retired. He served as vice president of the Foundation for the Promotion of Law and Order
During the constitutional crisis of 1993 and. about. President of Russia Alexander Rutskoi, at the proposal of the People's Deputy of the RSFSR Sergey Baburin [7], appointed V. P. Trushin to the post of Minister of the Interior of the Russian Federation [8] . However, there is no evidence that the Supreme Council managed to agree on this appointment before the assault on October 4, as required by paragraph 3 of Article 109 and part 1 of Article 123 of the current Constitution of the RSFSR and Article 9 of the Law of the Russian Federation “On the Council of Ministers-Government of the Russian Federation” [9] . Trushin ordered the release of employees of the Moscow City Hall, captured by the defenders of the Supreme Council building [10] .
Trushin is the only minister from the team of Rutsky who, after the assault of the Supreme Council of Russia on October 4, was not prosecuted and was not taken into custody because he managed to leave the White House in time [11] .
In 1995, he joined the expert council on the problems of combating crime of the Russian Popular Union.
He died on January 16, 2006 in Moscow . He was buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery [12] .
