History
A professional basketball team in the regional center of the Nikolaev region Voznesensk was created in 1996 at the expense of the local leather association VOSKO CJSC, which had already gone bankrupt and liquidated in 2015. [1] . The team was named by analogy with the name of the company - “Vozko”. Leonid Shimansky was invited to the post of head coach, who during the Soviet years, as a player, spent more than ten years in the main basketball team of the region MBK "Nikolaev" . Four years later, under his leadership, “Vozko” made it to the Super League. In different years, coaches Balashov, Kitsa, Romanets, Voronin worked with the team. Matches of the Ascension team in the sports complex "Vozko" gathered up to 800 spectators. The team consisted of legionnaires from the countries of the former CIS , representatives of American basketball. In the last Ukrainian Championship 2004/2005 . “Vozko” took 9th place. In 2005, the club was disbanded. The main reason that caused the incident was financial problems [2] .
