McCashin was fired from Quiet Pier at the same time as Julie Harris , as CBS demanded that the producers cut the budget, firing some of the big actors. [2] When the channel decided to shoot the sequel mini-series in 1997, McCashin refused to let them use archive footage with her, and CBS threatened her that she would never get a job on television again. As a result of this, the actress also did not participate in the 2005 documentary reunion [3] .
McCashin was born in Chicago, Illinois and, in addition to her role in the series Quiet Pier , starred in many television films made in the late seventies and eighties. In the early nineties, she appeared in the sitcom Brooklyn Bridge, and on the big screen appeared in the films Naked Tango and Arrivals . McCashin assured her acting career towards the end of the nineties to become a social worker in Boston [4] .
