Career
Player Career
Vieira began his professional coaching career at Bonsusesso , from his native Rio de Janeiro , after which he played for Fluminense , and completed his professional football career at Bangu Club.
Coach Career
Faria began his coaching career in 1968 at Fluminance with youth teams, where he worked for more than 10 years. He was responsible for the growth of many Brazilian stars, such as the captain of the Brazilian national team and participant in three world championships Edinho . He received many offers while working in Brazil. However, he rejected everything because of the risk. In the end, he changed his mind, and accepted the offer, to coach the Qatar youth team . As a substitute for Evaristo de Macedo , he temporarily led the Iraqi national team at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico . He claimed that he had made as much money as in Qatar in two years, which he had not made in the past 23 years [1] . He coached the national team of Morocco from 1983 to 1988, where during the 1986 World Cup he was assisted by Jorvan Vieira . He rejected the offer from Milan Internationale while coaching Moroccans. [1] . From 1995 to 1997, he headed the Olympic Khouribga club from Morocco .
Personal life
He converted to Islam in 1985 when he worked as a trainer in Morocco, taking the name Mehdi [2] [3] .
