Location
The village of Pestovskaya is located in the southern part of the Shatursky district, the distance to the Moscow Ring Road is about 151 km. Altitude 129 m [2] .
Title
In written sources, the village is referred to as Pestovskaya [3] [4] [5] [6] .
The name probably came from the surname Pestov [7] .
History
It is first mentioned in the scribe books of the 17th century Vladimir Uyezd as the village of Pestovskaya in the Babinsky Krai of the Volost Muromsky village in the Vladimir Uyezd in the Zamoskovsky Territory of the Moscow kingdom . The village belonged to Lazar Petrovich Adadurov [3] .
The last owners of the village before the abolition of serfdom were Prince Kropotkin, landowners Filippov, Zhdanov, Zhedrinsky and Tsaritsa of Georgia [4] .
After the abolition of serfdom, the village became part of the Korobov volost [8] .
In Soviet times, the village was part of the Dmitrovsky village council [9] .
