Career start
He initially performed under the pseudonym Waxmaster C, but changed it to DJ Premier when he moved to Brooklyn, where he founded the hip-hop group Gang Starr with Guru . I chose the pseudonym Premier because I wanted to be the first in what he did. DJ Premier collaborated with many hip hop artists, including Apathy , Big L , Big Daddy Kane , Bun B , Canibus , DITC , Fat Joe , Game , Ill Bill , Jay-Z , Joell Ortiz , Kanye West , KRS-One , Lord Finesse , MOP , Mos Def , Nas , Rakim , Royce da 5'9 " , Snoop Dogg , The LOX , The Notorious BIG , Vinnie Paz , Xzibit , Dr. Dre et al. Also collaborated with renowned jazz artists Branford Marsalis and Buckshot Lefonque on their first album, released five tracks for Christina Aguilera from Back to Basics, and his collaboration with Limp Bizkit , D'Angelo , Craig David and Macy Gray is worth noting.
In 2008, he took part in the development of the game GTA IV . He played himself - a DJ on the Classics radio station, where the tracks of rap artists Old School sounded.
